Production & Progress

Hello,

I know I'm a month late with saying this, but to those of you we didn't reach on New Years day...

Happy 2024!!

So, let's jump straight to it...

PRODUCTION & PROGRESS

Production is going smoothly and I can't remember the last time I had a major printing failure.

Which is saying something for how last year went with the resin mix up.

For those that haven't/don't 3D print, you can change absolutely nothing with your print set up and the printing gremlins will still decide to make a tiny part fail without rhyme or reason. Tis life.

But... like I said, it's all going well. No complaints.

Saying that, we've always tried to be honest and straight forward even if it means going back on what we may have said in the past. But honesty is the best policy right?

Leaving the big models till last has meant that I over estimated myself and print timings. It hasn't pushed us any further away from completion on paper, but it does mean that we may be sending out the first Initiate boxes in March/April instead of towards the end of this month. We're gutted to have to say this but thought it worth saying anyway.

On top of all that said above, we are attending Chillcon on the 17th of March and will do our absolute best to try and have a few Initiate boxes ready to hand over. Comment down below or hit us up on the other socials so we know a number we can aim for.

Yes, we've always wanted to make sure everyone gets their boxes as close to each other as possible to make it as fair as possible, but if we can save you money on postage then why not?

This isn't a promise that we'll have boxes to hand over, but at the very least means we can prove that we are getting close to the end of our first hurdle.

MODEL QUALITY

I have tried and tried take some pictures of the models. However the black resin we're using (still infuriated with that delivery) doesn't make for the best pictures to show off.

What I have done is render the new Human Major positions.

Further customised by using the Shield Arms you get with the Safe Guard, or the Tesla Fists from the Marines.

As you can see from the next image, the black resin doesn't do the Majors any justice as with your eyes and paint you'd be able to pick out all that detail seen in the image above.

Oh and yes, that is a Big Game Hunter behind. The Work I've done on that to get it ready for you has been so much fun!

The Safe Guard all have 5 arms and 5 heads. This means that if you wanted to change one of your Tesla Marines or Rail Marines to a Safe Guard then it's your choice. As mentioned above, you could also take one of the Shield Arms and use it on the Major. I've always wanted the models to be simple for ease of painting and playing but still with the ability to customise.

The Gray Elder has received a new updated Plasma Knout. Far better than the original and has access to different weaponry as per the reasons stated above.

As mentioned above, we are attending Chillcon. If you've not been before and are able to then we highly recommend going and checking it out.

The community at this convention is wonderful and the people running it are incredible! Guaranteed decent day out. Check out some videos online or head to their website https://www.chillcon.co.uk/ to find out more!

We are supplying Chillcon with an exclusive War On Terra model, much like your Kickstarter model, and I have loved every step of designing & making it.

The model will only be available at Chillcon as we don't want to be like some companies that state a model is an "exclusive"/"one time thing" and then release it normally a few months later when everybody bought it for exclusive prices. That's called lying and I'm sure we can all name the companies that do this lol

At Chillcon will be the Intel record for you to take a picture of so you can get home and play with a game whilst also using the Intel records given for a Tesla Marine and the Plasma Nilayan. Remember, the rules are here on the website if you wish to proxy.

At Chillcon we will have a table or two set up for people to play War On Terra. No display Table this year, just a simple set up for those wanting to get a feel for the game.

Like always, thank you all so much for reading and sticking with us all this time!

We can see the finish line and it's bringing all the excitement we felt from launching the Kickstarter right back to us.

Stay Well and Happy Gaming
