We know very little about where the Haraka originated from, or exactly which planetary system yielded their birth. We do know that they currently occupy considerably more than their identified star systems within our closest sectors, and can only theorise as to the rough direction their archaic path has taken in order to cross ours.

THE SLOW SPREAD
Once a celestial body overrun with Haraka begins to produce organic material at a slower rate than it can be engulfed by their hordes, then a process of planetary seeding begins to take place. A seemingly haphazard yet surprisingly methodical and effective way of ensuring growth continues and filters out to as many other 'life' bearing planets and/or moons as possible.

THE ORIGINS' ORIGIN
The Origin formed a very high level of intelligence fairly quickly in respects to evolutionary timelines. This coupled with their large powerful physiology swiftly raised them up to become the overwhelmingly dominant species on their home planet Kaliya in the Thuban star system.

THE GREAT EXPANSION
Much of what we know about how the Haraka function is based on vibration and resonance. It seems that when a Haraka colony becomes exceptionally large, the amalgamation of bodies to form a planetary seeder continues until a massive creature known as an interstellar seeder is created. These monstrosities, reach a point where their Ovas chemical make-up and electrostatic resonance 'dials in to' and allows them access to the 'Latent'. Due to this increasingly frequent development the Haraka enjoyed a period of exponential growth and expansion.

The first star system the initial wave of interstellar ova phased out into was Giausar. Many missed their targets and hurtled out into the abyss, however several successfully landed on Kuraokami, Tatsu and Orochi.

It was around this time that several Harakian interstellar ova phased out of the Latent and arrived in the Draco North Sector at the Shãowèi star system. First landing on the planet Chìlóng and one of its moons Huánglóng.

Over the next 100 years Haraka in the Shãowèi star system expanded quickly and seeded several other habital bodies including Báilóng, Qînglóng and Hêilóng.

HARAKIAN SLUMBER
After thousands of years of exponential growth, the Haraka had all but wiped out every trace of organic life in their inhabited sectors. This led to almost every Haraka colony simultaneously going into what can only be described as a state of prolonged hibernation.

Intensive research and development resulted in the creation of a new propulsion drive capable of accelerating a craft to interplanetary speeds. The newly perfected Vanadium fuelled Magnetoplasmadynamic Thruster allowed the Origin to break free from Kaliyas' gravitational pull and explore other bodies round Thuban and Thuban Altifl.

THE ORIGINS' EXPLORATION
Following many centuries of progressive technological innovation and interplanetary exploration the Origin finally determined the existence of the 'Latent'. Advanced energy utilisation and specialised ships constructed from the newly discovered Athenium helped the Origin devise a way of utilising the LSSF for transportation. Their inquisitive minds flourished with the freedom of interstellar exploration as well as a deep fascination with the 'Latent' itself.

The pioneering Origin exploration craft first phased out of the Latent at the Kochab star system. After forming a small settlement on Ursus Auris, the Origin slowly spread across the rest of the system to inhabit Ursus Nare, Oculi Ursa and Oculi Ursa E.

HERCULIS RUKBAH ARRIVAL
Subsequent exploration ships were launched once settlements had been sett up and were thriving around Kochab. Several of these vessels phased out of the Latent at Herculis Rukbah and made there way towards Lampeia, Erymanthus and Stymphalia.

HARAKA AWAKEN
The Origin continued to expand outwards from their home world. However a combination of evolving with no natural predatory threats as well as not having encountered any alien lifeforms before led to a dangerously over confident mindset that would soon bring this spread to an abrupt halt.
Unprepared and unprotected, the Origin phased out of the 'Latent' and approached this latest planet unaware of the slumberous mass of Haraka quietly awaiting their arrival.

THE ETERNAL WAR
It was the brutal devastation suffered at the hands of the Haraka that sparked the war. The Origin quickly brushed aside their inherently peaceful ways in order to dedicate themselves to the protection of the galaxy by removing this newly discovered 'evil' from existence. All further planetary expansion was put on hold whilst the local vicinity was swept for signs of Harakian colonies. Weapon development was prioritised alongside a focus on creating a force consisting of as many of the strongest and well trained Origin as possible.

THE ORIGIN ASSAULT
Through millennia of conflict the tide of war had seemingly tilted in neither sides favour. This was of no concern to the Origin, as to date the plan had always been to simply hold off the Haraka until the time was right. The right time for the largest coordinated military assault since the conflict began. This would be the final and, in the Origins eyes, the decisive wave that would sweep away the Haraka forever.

THE GREAT DISSENSION
After the failure of the great assault, war continued to focus the Origins' minds and technological advances. With the Harakas main focus being the consumption of any/all organic material, the Origin believed that the only logical course of action would be to shift away from their physical form to an energy based one. However, a plan of this magnitude came with just as many detractors as it did proponents, creating a fierce rift around the mechanics of such a revolutionary move.

RADICAL METAMORPHOSIS
Despite strongly differing opinions, supporters of this transition devised a method allowing evolution into a purely energy based life form. The main breakthrough utilised a rare Vanadium isotopes' impressive properties to house their 'being' and contain the energy in such a way as to maintain a somewhat physical form.

THE WATCHERS ARISE
The newly transfigured Origin quickly began to view themselves as a completely separate and superior species to their organic counterparts, and so the Watchers were born.

THE ORIGIN PHASE AWAY
The biological advocates viewed this move as the death of their entire civilisation, and considered the Watchers means of replication to be nothing short of barbaric. After it became clear that the Origin couldn't coexist with the Watchers, the decision was made to depart. Vast arks were constructed and the Origin phased into the 'Latent' in search of a new home world, leaving the Watchers behind to continue their stand against the Haraka.

ATHENIUM MASTERY
Alongside Atheniums ability to build very lightweight and incredibly strong structures, it was found to have many more impressive uses. By controlling how and where electromagnetic currents flowed through their 'body' the Watchers quickly learnt that Athenium could adhere to their energy fields. This could then be moulded at will in order to form razor sharp combat weaponry, hardened armour and solid conduits through which energy could be expelled at blistering speeds. Watchers with more energy could impart additional current through the Athenium allowing it to merge with Vanadium creating larger high powered 'Vanta' weaponry.

CONVERGENT EVOLUTION
The Grays three forms, as we currently know them, all evolved from a single common ancestor on Nilus in the HR 9038 B star system around 238000BCE. Over time each group had become separated and isolated from the others and, by 8600BCE, all three had reached a level of civilisation, at least by human standards. Advances in travel and exploration caused groups to come into contact and 're-discover' their ancient cousins. Being so different and far removed from each other in so many ways the encounters resulted in brutal violence, slavery and battles for supremacy.

THE KYANVAD CONTENTION
The main reasons for escalating violence between tribal groups had now shifted away from their inherent differences and the simple desire for conquest. During the Grays' primitive development a base religion formed around their perceived origin story. There was a strong belief that their genesis had come from a series of 'Deities' they called the Kyanvad. It was thought that these mythical beings and their armies travelled through the stars seeding planets with life and extinguishing evil wherever they found it. During each groups isolation the beliefs they held had evolved, like the Grays themselves, into very different mythologies. War was now raged for the honour of cementing the 'correct' narrative into the minds of all Grays.

SOCIETAL CAST SYSTEM
Millenia of bloodshed and societal progression finally led to a time of minimised conflict and a balance of power. The distinct Gray 'races' had now fallen into a very simply structured three tier cast system with the Alpheyans in power at the top, the Nilayans at the bottom and the Eridiyans in the middle.

TECHNOLOGICAL LEAPS
The discovery of electricity allowed the Grays to start developing technology at an alarming rate. Arguably the most important innovation was discovered when they passed an electric current through an engineered sphere of a naturally occurring stable isotope of element 115 [Moscovium]. When placed in the centre of a disc shaped craft it formed a heart shaped electromagnetic field around it 'separating' it from this reality and allowing it to travel at FTL speeds.

SETTLING DANAUS
Minimal adaptation was needed to Gray craft in order for them to leave Nilus' atmosphere and start exploring beyond their homeworld. The logical first step was to visit and settle Nilus' most substantial moon Danaus.

EXPLORING THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Having readily settled Danaus, it made perfect sense to branch out and make use of other habitable bodies within the HR 9038 B star system. Very soon the Grays had various sized settlements on Anchinoe, Phineus, Belus and Aegyptus.

HR 9038 AAs' ONLY CHILD
Continued exploration and research missions further away from their home star system led the Grays to discover celestial bodies around other stars. HR 9038 AAs' lone planet Lasid Cepheus was next to be visited and quickly developed into a thriving Gray outpost.

Two elements now formed the main 'fuel' for the Grays technological expansion: Moscovium and Nilusium. Both these elements were found to be very abundant in the vast asteroid field in orbit around HR 9038 AB. Before too long the Grays had remote mining and mineral refinement sites built on three of the largest asteroids: 0938 Andromeda, 9038 Cetus and 9038 Perseus.

With Earth's military separated into many different factions and now spread across the stars, it was widely agreed that a universal language was needed to ease communication. Selecting an existing mainstream language was deemed unfair, and so plans were drawn up to have a brand new vernacular created by an international committee. After several issues during this process, the decision was made to resurrect a language in order to save time. In the end Esperanto was chosen as it was already complete, well established and had always been the language's initial intention.
